What makes Cnor handmade soaps different from regular commercial soaps?
Cnor soaps are handcrafted in small batches using traditional methods. Unlike many commercial soaps that remove glycerin (a natural moisturizer), our process retains this beneficial ingredient, resulting in a more hydrating and gentler bar. We focus on high-quality natural ingredients, avoiding harsh detergents like SLS and parabens often found in mass-produced soaps. Each bar is a unique piece of artisanal craft, made with care to Cherish and Nurture your skin.
What kind of ingredients do you use in Cnor soaps?
We believe in the power of nature. Cnor soaps are formulated with a blend of nourishing plant-based oils and butters (like olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, etc.), natural colorants (like clays, herbs, and spices), and pure essential oils or high-quality, skin-safe fragrance oils for scent. We prioritize ingredients known for their skin-loving properties.
Are Cnor soaps suitable for sensitive skin?
Many customers with sensitive skin find handmade soaps gentler than commercial alternatives due to the retained glycerin and absence of harsh detergents. However, sensitivities can vary greatly. We recommend checking the ingredient list for each specific soap variety for any known allergens. We also advise doing a patch test on a small area of skin before full use, especially if you have known sensitivities or skin conditions.
Are your soaps vegan and cruelty-free?
We strive to use plant-based ingredients wherever possible. The majority of our soaps are vegan. If a specific soap contains an animal-derived product like honey or Milk/yogurt/milk cream, it will be clearly stated in the ingredient list. We are committed to being cruelty-free - none of our ingredients or finished products are tested on animals.
What gives Cnor soaps their color and scent?
We use natural colorants like cosmetic-grade clays (e.g., kaolin, rose clay), herbs and botanicals (e.g., wild turmeric, red sandalwood,), and plant based extracts(e.g. orange, mint ) which impart beautiful color to Cnor soaps. Scents come from pure essential oils distilled from plants or carefully selected, phthalate-free fragrance oils designed for skin safety.
How long does a bar of Cnor handmade soap last?
Handmade soap lasts longest when allowed to dry out completely between uses. Because it contains natural glycerin, it can attract moisture. Keep your soap on a well-draining soap dish away from direct streams of water. With proper care, a bar can last several weeks, depending on usage frequency. Please use our soap saver cum loofah for longer lasting bars.
Why does my handmade soap look slightly different from the picture or from my last bar?
That'sthe beauty of handmade! Each batch is mixed, poured, and cut by hand. Slight variations in color, pattern, or shape are normal and part of the charm of an artisanal product. Itdoesn'taffect the quality or performance of the soap.
Do Cnor soaps produce a lot of lather?
The lather type can vary depending on the oils used in the specific recipe. Some create big, bubbly lather, while others produce a more creamy, lotion-like lather. All our soaps are formulated to cleanse effectively while being gentle on the skin. Using a loofah or our soap saver exfoliating pouch can help create more bubbles if desired.

Yes! Our soaps are formulated using gentle, natural ingredients, making them suitable for cleansing both your face and body. The natural glycerin retained in our handmade process helps moisturize the skin, making it feel cherished and nurtured, unlike some commercial soaps that can strip moisture.
